Hi all

Towards the end of last year I hurt my back. Bottom line was no squash for 6 weeks Mad
When I was ready to play again, I was just about to set off for a month on holiday. So, I can honestly say I did not play a competitive match for just over two months

Understandably, my game has gone down the drain.

I've started playing again but am really struggling to read opponents. I've usually had an excellent reach and been able to dominate at the front of the court. When my opponent is in front and preparing to punish a loose shot, 95% of the time I will lose the rally. I just can't read where he might hit the ball.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work on this problem? I'm losing games I should never have lost!

To summarise, I feel good in that the engine is running again, only problem is that there is no one behind the wheel Confused

Paul

My suggestion: a lot of drills in 3 persons on court when you are under pressure. A lot of drills like that are described on David Palmer DVD or Jon Power Above the Tin. Do you need more precise descriptions?

Thanks drop.shot

I've been playing hard for two weeks now so I suppose I cannot expect too much.
This Saturday I'm heading down to my club for some drills and I agree that's the way to go.

Will stick it out for a bit and report back in the weeks to come.

Thank you Smile
Paul
