Intense stuff. It's a two way tie. Even though I'm young and have only seen footage of Jansher something about Jahangir's 5 yrs unbeaten says he had more disipline, especially considering he had to contest with Geoff Hunt and Jansher, argueably two of the greatest players ever. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |

And in particular Ross Norman!!!
This isn't a continuing joke that Wasted started, Ross Norman relentlessly chased Jahangir over the ourse of at least a year losing to JanhangIr in several consecutive finals i think(not sure how many) before ending Janangir's run in Toulouse in '86. |

If you have never seen them, don't even speculate. Jansher was the best player, best athlete, inthe world. |

| Folks, it is actually pointless to compare players of different eras in any sport. Anyway, I admire fair outstanding players, and as I think Jahangir Khan stands on top for that, I voted for him. I would have voted for Peter Nicol, but his dominance was not as amazing as Jahangir's in his time. Come on, how come (even in those days) not to be defeated for more than five years? |

| Jansher was virtually the same era as Jahangir, only a couple of years between them. Although their head to head record was about dead even, Jahangir was the more disciplined, mentally tough player. Which makes Jansher, when he wasn't distracted, the best player ever. |

So basically. Your saying the best player ever should be based totally on talent and when the player in question is focused??? You obviously don't count hard work and descipline like Jahangir's as a trait to make him the best ever even though his record is better than Jansher's for that reason. By you logic you could say Jon Power is the greatest ever simply because when he was focused he didn't lose. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |
