What racquet is he using now? from the pics, it doesn't look as if it belongs to the Black Knight family (looks like his old Head racquet in fact, another Ramy scenario developing?), can anyone shed some light on this please, thanx for ur time and consideration...

Black Knight Ion - developed specifically for him. It is so new that it is not even on the Black Knight web site yet. There are only about ten in existance right now - mostly in Palmer's racquet bag. It will probably be available to the public late Summer/Fall.

I took it for a few swings last weekend....very light and fairly balanced, maybe a touch head light. There are a few racquets in the series, and several other new racquets including some new Magnum models.

Laughing The BK website in Canada is sooo out of date (check stringing patterns, racquet info downloads, etc.), and the US one is even worse. I think they need to put more effort into keeping that thing up. Still, they're much, much better than Dunlop!

Does anyone have a pic of this new racquet? Thanks!

We know it all too well that our website is out dated. We are actually in the process off revamping our website we even changed the name for: www.playbk.com, it will take a big part of the summer to do it, we will have lots of new stuff as well as a new Blog section with regular updates and videos.

Back to the racquet, there is actually more than 10 in existance right now, and they will be available arround September 2008. Here's a picture of the 2 new Ions racquets (taken from our 2008-09 catalogue:

Very cool, thanks for the info. I think it will really help BK. Is the US site going to be updated, too?

I am pretty sure now that all BK (I don't have all the details yet) will be under the same new website, before that we had a US and Canadian Black Knight site. During the summer with the revamp process we just changed all that to www.playbk.com so that it will become the main and only BK site.

I don't see any specs on the Ions either in your pic or in the 08-09 catalogue. Can you tell us about them?

There is a reason for that, it is because they are only at their prototype stage, so we did not want to put any specs in the catalogue that in the end will not match the racquets. We are still working on the stifness and the balance of these 2 models. The only thing that is almost for sure, is that those racquets will weigh arround 140 g. More information will be available during the summer.
