I'm in san francisco and have taken lessons from a few different club pro's. I've taken lessons in golf and skeet and video analysis was worth it's weight in gold for me. Does anyone know of any teachers in the US that use video cams with their lessons? I travel a lot and would pop in for a few lessons.

Cannot help you with the States but I have found watching one's faults very useful.

Call up the San Francisco Bay club and ask for Dominque Chiquet, I believe I've seen him using a camera on occasion during his lessons. I've seen a guy use a camera almost everytime he takes a lesson or plays a match but I don't think his results have improved much.

Smile I did quite a bunch of dvd's with me playing with my coach. First one is dated 2005 may (ca. 9 months on court) and if I watch it today, i am truly red on my cheeks. We decided to record our training sessions each month. If I watch the recent issues it looks pretty promising. & I have to say, i've learned from my own mistakes a lot. Court movement and distance from the ball is far better thanks to the taping.

well, I finally own a video camera and tried recording two practice sessions last week.
I have a 5" tripod and placed the camera behind my gym bag at the middle of the tin.
Watching the video in slow motion was painful. I noticed 3 glaring problems: slow racquet preparation, too many small steps, and peeking to the front before making contact with the ball.
I'll do it once a week for a few months and will post up if it helps over the longer term.
does anyone else bother doing this?
