Just wondering if anyone could confirm whether Matt has retired from pro squash and moved on to other things. His absence from the tour since last February/March, and from this year's Pan Am Games, is quite the drought. I can understand packing it in and going back to University, if that's what he's done. He's a bright young man with a good professional life ahead of him if that's what he wants to do, though it's too bad if he's given up the tour for good. There's enough 1-2 star tournaments in Canada and the US that he could play a little part-time if he wanted to to keep up his game.

Anyone have any news on Matthew Giuffre? Thanks.

So far you can see he's ranked at 41 place of PSA, so he is (seems to be) active.

I see that too drop.shot, but I'm wondering if he's just letting his membership run-out rather than formally retiring. I see that he's not playing any tournaments in September either. His absence from the Pan-Am's is particularly odd, as he would have been our number 2, and a potential medalist at that tournament.

More later but Matt most recently played PSA Coastal Contacts in Vancouver. Lost in final to Shahier and is slated to be part of the Canadian Men's Team at Indian event in December.

I was a little premature last year, but I'm guessing he's retired now. No tournaments since February, including missing the Canadian Nationals for the first time in 15 years. Unless he has a major injury...can anyone confirm what he's up to now?

Thanks.

I saw Matt working with some juniors a couple of months ago at his club in Edmonton but I have no idea if he is injured or gearing up for school or what. He is certainly not showing up to any events.

Retired. For some reason we've heard less about Graham's retirement than JP's. I wonder why... Confused

less? we´ve heard nothing. I´ve been wondering about the matter for a year and found nothing in the web. Anyways I think Power was a little more mediatic than Graham, wasn´t he?

Ryding was doing university course during his last few years on the psa and he has finished them now. I believe he works in a bank now.
