i agree with squish... and the bottom line is steve owns it he can do what he want. You should be grateful it's even here and that he listens to suggestions.. on the other hand who is steve to say what should be posted and what shouldn't?? A forum is an exchange of information and other brands/sites should be included. Free speech is a term used too lightly in society and should be worth fighting for. It is how it is, you shouldn't complain it's not gonna change anything. Actions change things. Learn how to make a forum then post it up. Great job overall steve Very Happy

On court, I'm sure SM doesn't have all his appeals go his own way. But has to be a sport about it, ask for an explanation, put the decision behind him and then get on with the game. Not go on about it for the rest of the match.

Steve is the referee here and he makes the rules. Make your protest, then get on with talking about squash, not go on and on about free speech and netiquette.
We left all that point-scoring behind us on the old forum. If any of you had met Steve, you'd know he is a pretty pragmatic, can-do guy who wants to spend his time promoting squash on t'intenet. He's being doing this 15 years, since the pioneering work of the Internet Squash Federation that Paul Baggott and him set up. (His websites beat the hell outta his squash though Wink

This ain't no ivory tower where we can spend our time debating the finer points of the constitution, free speech and the fifth amendment. This is the People's Republic Of Cubbins and no academic BS shall sully the squash discussions. Squash won't advance one iota whether SquashMad gets his posts accepted or not. If it were my forum, heck I'd even pull this thread but I don't have the patience of a saint that Steve has, when get asked to set up a new forum and then people complain when he doesn't run it like they want and fling his efforts back in his face with all this haranguing. Remember how crap the old forum was, when there was no controlling hand. Better 10 grey posts get deleted than 100 malicious black threads get started.

All this persecution complex detracts from this forum - squash is in a bad enough state without detracting from the real issues. There endeth my sermon, let's get on with the squash.

I think Steve is doing a great job with this forum. Regarding this particular issue, he is striking just the right average of the two extreme positions:

Henry II: Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest, and

Groucho: Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
