I agree that providing a "ranking" might motivate some players to join/contribute to an association but there are other drivers .... US squash survey uncovered many.
Cost, lack of co-operation/co-ordination (politics and club centric ethic of squash pro's), efficiencies (reducing, simplifying, automating somehow labour of input), luddites (tecnophobes) seem to be some of the barriers to more comprehensive and inclusive rankings. _________________ "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
