Hi
I run a team in Kent (Biggin Hill) which is I guess regarded as the strongest team in the county. However as many of the other teams in kent are strengthening up, we too are looking for more players. I'd be grateful if anyone can recommend any players to play for around £20 - £50 per match. Equally I'd be intersted to hear your general thoughts on recruiting players and at what price.
Cheers. |

| In the northern leagues, jobbing pros get about £80 a game. That's for players outside the top 100. I don't know many players in Kent, but there's lots of very good players knocking round the Sussex leagues who might be willing to travel for £50 plus travel expenses. |

| Ok thaks for the response. I know the Kent League is generally looking to strengthen up an to be fair has already done so over the last two years. We get to compete against and play with players such as Tim Garner, Ben Ford, James Robbins and suchlike. However if there are any other players that might be intersted in getting so tough games and good experience we'd like to know about them. Especially the younger guys who want to make their mark. |

Hi Mark,
I wouldnt mind playing for Biggen Hill in the kent squash league.
I am ranked 37 in the world and 1 in Ireland.
I charge £60 per match, not including travel costs. |

"Guns for hire" interesting situation I must say how does it work having some paid and others not, it has caused problems in other sports that I know of certainly. _________________ ........ Squash is a drug - and remember there is always someone better than you........ |

I guess it's all relative, really. The better you are the more you're in demand, especially for those that make a living from the game. I personally play in several teams and I'm not paid (not good enough), however some of the guys at the top on the order receive match fees which I totally appreciate because there are brilliant players. Us lowly guys love having them in the team so I can assure you there is no bad feeling.
Liam I've sent you a PM, it's a pleasure to get a response from such a high ranked player. |
