Why did HK not use the 3 ref system ?
Some of the decisions from the "locals" were rewriting the rulebook from what I could see but when there is a new system in place where decisions are devolved, why does HK not use it ?

| Because the tournament received no direction from PSA or WISPA they went with what they have always done. I know that some of the refs wanted to use the 3-ref system, but as things stand it's a decision for the tournament to make. |

That's ridiculous. You mean to say that the PSA and WISPA haven't made it a RULE that three refs be used, that its still only voluntary? There should be a standardized set of rules for all PSA and WISPA sanctioned tournaments to use and that includes the number of refs. The 3 ref system has made a huge difference in the sport and tournaments should not be free to simply pick and choose how they want to do things. How does a tournament as prestigious as Hong Kong not receive any "direction" from PSA or WISPA? _________________ "Drive for show, drop for dough." |
