I admit that I've seen Iskandar play very little, but a few things strike me about his technique:
- He seems to prepare very well for every shot (great focus)
- His shots are often not tight (rails and drops often well away from the side wall)
- His grip is strange
Can anyone shed some light on this last point?
- He holds the racquet way, way down so that his little finger is partly off the end
- His fingers are more perpendicular to the shaft than most
- His index finger is separated very little from the other fingers
Is anyone teaching this grip? Is it his own particular preference? Is he accommodating an injury? Is he going for more power with less accuracy?
Seems odd to me. What do you think? |

he's my favorite player i try to emulate him. Yes he has the worst technique but that's just how he's been coached i suppose. I remember wen all these asians came over for a tourny they were all good but they had the same technique as Azlan and it was just so funny to watch. They must get taught different. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |
