Can anyone from Sunderland tell me what's available in the way of courts up there? It's been a while since I've been back home and I'd like to take my brother for a game when I go back in Feb. Tried googling but all I get is Washington (any opinions on that?)

I recall Crowtree leisure centre having squash courts, but I also recall that there was word of it being closed down...don't know if thats the case or not.

Any help appreciated - GP

Last time I was there I played at the leisure centre but that was several years ago. Actually, I don't know if it was the Crowtree leisure centre. My cousin just called it 'the leisure centre', it was downtown and used tokens to turn on the lights.

Now don't quote me on this, but I believe Crowtree Leisure Centre has courts and an internal club, Ashbrooke has courts in a mixed cricket/rugby/squash environment and Doxford Park has a nice new facility ... some searches should help, but I'll try to find out more (I'm north of the tyne you see ....)
