That makes it two world titles and four British Opens. By anyones standards an amazing effort. More than Nicol, Power, Lincou, Shabana.....
Traditionally the best was often judged by how many titles a person had won, especially the British. Now this seems less so, and the no. 1 world ranking is more important.
Shabana has the three World Opens, but no British titles to date. Until he does, as a proud Australian I think David Palmer has with this British Open vitory cemented himself as one of the true greats of squash and the greatest player since the Khans. |

| It's hard to pinpoint who is the greatest squash player in this era. During the Khans times, they dominated almost every tournament. Now, every players have a fair share of winning tournaments. But I would agree that with David winning the British Open and World Open tiles on a few occasion, he would be consider ONE of the greatest player in this era. Congrats to David. |
