strung up a tecnifibre red, 28lbs on prince airstick 130. review below.

been using the 17 gauge green and 18 gauge green. thought i'd try to red.

Thickness is just right, the 18g green was too thin. Didnt find it much more powerful than the 305 or 205 at 28lbs, and playability is exactly the same. I think i still prefer the green, which feels abit thicker and more contact with the ball, but ever so slightly, and other characteristics almost the same- good feel, length is good, not too bouncy, drop had same feel.

Had Wilson supreme 17 g tennis string, and it was too thick, and felt hard. Touch was sacrificed, but durability was excellent.

I have to say tecnifibre is the top brand for squash right now. Haven't found a string comparable yet, not even ashaway (too much vibration and noticed tennis elbow on racquets or same racquets but with supernicks).

Hope this helps, that is my contribution.

I would pretty much agree with all that you've said there. I still like the 225 green but am also a big fan of the X one red too and is a bit more durable. Have tried the Ashaway Powernick and XL pro and they are not as good!
