| What a great win, 3-2 over Gaultier. Best win of his career and shows he is knockin on the door of these guys and a future top ten player if he keeps it up. Well done. |

Yes it was a really good win for Ali.
But I think Greg is a bit out of form. He has been injured, so it will take some time before he is back in form.
Anyone now, which racket Ali is using? _________________ Oslo Squash |

looked like a tecnifibre one but not sure which model.
Thinks it may be the Suprem Pro on the TF website, only availaible in the US. |

I think he plays with Vantage racquets, but I'm not 100%. _________________ IN SQUASH WE TRUST. |

| Yes, I watched him play Willstrop recently and believe he has the ability to jump a level - he just needs experience. He has good technique, fast around court, clever change-ups, can play tight length and can make winners. Whether he makes that leap is up to him, but I think playing the top guys more regularly will give him that bit of experience he needs to go to the next level (top 10). |

| A.Walker got a lucky win here. Something wrong with Gaultier, that's all. It doesn't matter what Techhhhhhnifibre racket he uses. |

| No way, Ali Walker is a quality player, very athletic and well balanced. You don't have 'lucky' wins at this level. |

I was at the match on Tuesday Where Ally beat Greg. It was not lucky at all, he put in some serious effort and was the better player. Simple as.
Fantastic result and hopefully he can do the same tonight against Pilley. _________________ SquashAndy |

ali,s racket is a personalised tecnifibre racket with an intersting story behind the graphics on the shaft. it is a very well balanced racket and is more like the traditional dunlop hot melt pro racket as opossed to the usually longer frame of the tecnifibre.
i was at canary wharf when ali beat greg and i can tell you for a fact that there where various reasons why ali won that match.
firstly he played really well after a shaky start. his retrieving was brilliant. greg was also confident on the verge of cocky. thinking he could step up a gear and take ali at any time. well ali shocked him because greg allowed him to get a foot hold on the match and from then on was hanging on. ali,s determination and the london crown behind him spurred him on to a great victory.
luck? i dont think so |

I remember when Azlan beat Shabana. Everyone got hyped up and nothing happened and now Azlan is closer to the 20's then top ten. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |

My technifibre suprem 130 is the same length as my other racquets. Its slighly head-heavy. _________________ Foster's... it's Australian for beer! |

ok Whitty, that's great to know. Now I feel better ordering it without testing. Balance was very important to me.

he got lucky !
If anyone saw him play in the following round you would have noted that he was basically "loose"
in fact, so "loose" that he could have been a top club player. He was well and truly beaten.
He has a good day against Greg. End of story. |

Even the announcers were making comments about Gaultier being off... for sure, Walker got a bit lucky. _________________ Foster's... it's Australian for beer! |

as it happens i spoke with ali tonight. he was playing an exhibition with mark chaloner in lincoln.
ali is looking well and playing well. he,s been working with tecnhnifibre in france at the french tennis open. and is preparing for an event coming up in nottingham. other than that he is taking a well earned break. |

Ali Walker is a trendy guy and every sport needs some dapper chaps.
Yellow shoes with yellow shirt and do strap, now that's top drawer.
