|
|
Hello,
Last week, I broke my Prince M+ Pro after a year and a half (playing 2-3 times a week). I still have a second one, but 1 racket is to less, in case you break it (or the string) during a match. So, i have to search another (or buy the same?).
I never played with an other racket, so I’m curious about other types. I like my old prince one, so I’m thinking of buying a new Prince.
The rackets I’m thinking of are all O3 types (Prince doesn’t make others anymore I think?):
Prince O3 Speedport Tour
Prince O3 Black
Prince O3 Silver
Prince O3 Hybrid Vendetta
I know it's difficult to ask others which is the best racket... You have to play with them to know.
But maybe some of you can tell me more about the durability of Prince O3 rackets? With the big O-ports, I think they break more easily? Does someone has experience with them? If so:
can you also tell which racket you had before the O3 and how fast did that break?
Thx

| Older Prince racquets seem to be more durable than the o-port models. I know players who have gotten a lot of mileage out of More Game, Sovereign, and Air Stick racquets. They're all still available and quite a bit cheaper than the o-ports. |

| I have broken 3 in 3 months. Break occurs in similar area on top at the curve. Spoken to fellow player who had the same racquet and he also broke his in the same area. Although I've broken them, Prince have replaced all 3. The company (strokes sports) I've been dealing with mentioned that they have plenty of returns on the entire 03 range. I have now decided to go with Head (we'll see what this brings). Used to use Dunlop Hotmelt Pro (great durability, but rubbish power). The dunlop range are generally quite durable. I would advise going through pwp squash shop to test a few racquets. You can purchase the racquet for a test run. If you don't like it, return for a full refund. |

Consider purchasing the Speedport Tour too. Endorsed by Nicol David, I believe ? So far, how is it ? My concern too is the durability. |

Well, I think I have the problems everyone have when he/she plays a new racket.
The power is great, but I have a lot of problem with hitting the ball hard just above the tin. With my M+pro racket, it' wasn't a problem. Now i'm hitting the tin all the time . But i think the only thing i can do is practice |

I played a small unimportant tournament (I’m also an unimportant player ) with the racket.
The power is much better than my Prince M+ Pro. Hitting the ball just above the tin, isn't impossible anymore.
The only negative point by comparing it to my old racket is the control. I had more with the M+ Pro... But maybe I have to practice more and more....
If it doesn’t break fast, I don’t think I will switch again to my old. |
