| Anyone know the status of Anthony Ricketts? He's not in the draw for the British or US opens, so he must be hurting. Still nursing the elbow injury? |

| Does Ricketts have serious problems? Will he be back for the winter tour in North America at least? He's been out for so long that it's going to be like starting over in the rankings if he doesn't get back this year at all. |

Very sad news .
Anthony will soon be anouncing his retirement officially.
Apparently his knee is not going to get any better and he will be out of competitive squash for the foreseeable future. |

Bendi, what on earth do you mean by 'that's gay'? Is that teen-speak for, "What a great pity."?
Ricketts must be completely devastated. Is anyone out there close enough to him to know what he plans on doing with his life after playing? Go into coaching? Fitness training, perhaps? What terrible news for Australian squash in particular, but also the entire squash community as well. |

Gay is a common synonym for shitty. Shitty means crap. That is crap news. Are you like in your 40's?? _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |

I'm 15.
I do not use the word "gay" as an alternative for "crap" or "rubbish" etc.
That is all. _________________ Adam Hildred

Oh no! they're onto me. Did you ever stop to consider that surrounded by cultural ideologies and beliefs on all texts that I may be somewhat influenced by them? Do you think I write stuff to be cool or hip or trendy? As anyone knows the only way to be cool is to not give a damn what anyone thinks about them. And then to really be cool you hav to not care about that. Which is why the coolest people in the world are dumb idiots. Just because they never consider that. I wrote the word gay just because it's cultural meaning is crap, not because I think that's trendy. But because it is a common ideology. I can't help it. It's just my attitude value and beliefs system. Grow up everyone. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |

By the way everyone who uses the words crap and shitty your just turning fesces into a synonym for bad. So all I'm doing is the same but for the word gay. Eventually in twenty or so years gay will be an even bigger cultural meaning for shitty and everyone will just go oh ok when someone says TV is gay. or it will fade away... It's how the english language works. Shakespeare invented over 2 000 words to add to the english language and is considered a genious. Most of those words were just abbreviations on older bigger words. However with everyone's thinking here, we'd still be talking like they did in the 15th century. News flash everyone: the english language is shrinking at an alarming rate. Why is their anything wrong with that either?? If it's quicker and easier, do it. That's why I txt talk. Believe it or not in 200 years the white board in a classroom could be read like this: Johnny walkd (arrow up) 2 the shops... And also the acutal word 'gay' was just a word to describe the situation right now. The meaning is what is important, not the actual text. It is a real shame he won't be playing but. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |

I sense only maturity will make you more enlightened Bendi, but on the other hand maybe not, as alas there is a plethora of ignorant old people to be found in all directions......... _________________ ........ Squash is a drug - and remember there is always someone better than you........ |

Now that we have been lectured on how we will be writing and reading in the future by an 18 year old, I felt the urge write something about him in the effort to make him look silly.
I now see that I don't need to, since he is doing a very good job of that all on his own. |

The earliest meaning for the word Gay that I can remember is happy or joyful, but I think the most common use is to describe homo sexuality.
I have heard and even used the term the same way that Bendi has but in this "politically correct" world, using words like gay can be perceived as insensitive.
It is unfortunate but it seems to be the way it is. _________________ IN SQUASH WE TRUST. |

I think you are generously adding on a few years there, as Viper sagely stated, age isn't necessarily accompanied by maturity.
Still have to say that Bendi is enthuasiastic about squash and we need all the people of his age we can get, he can be forgiven the odd mistake. |

He really was good. He sat at no. 2 for a while and I remember if he had won the Saudi final against Jon Power he woulda become no. 1. Very aggressive, never say die attitude. Good player. _________________ If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite |

Bendi, I must admit some of your comments are fare below the waist... I am afraid it's the way how you fight with your complexes. Don't bother yourself with any bright answers and sharp replies, right? Just keep some of your thoughts for yourself. It's ain't funny at all. _________________ >>drops hot<<
