What ever happened to Tom Steward from Australia? He was a champion junior, who then seemed to lose his way? I seem to remember he was the no. 1 in the under19's in Australia when the World Juniors was played in N.Z and he didn't play?
Its a pity as he dominating from an early age.... I have not heard much about him lately... |

| Truthfully, i don't know what he's up to. If he's like me he looked at the squash scene "post 19 years old" and said uhhh NO!!!!!! Thanks but not thanks, its not worth it! Unless you're the top guy its stupid to continue. Canada had a top guy "Peter Gildenhuys" that just killed Shahier Razik 27-3 that could have played but he went for school and work instead. He was an absolutley amazing player though that could have done well. Razik is now in the top 25? Whatever, there's lots of players that don't play now, its just not worth their time!!! |

When did Guildenhuys ever beat Razik 27-3? The only junior tournament I can remember where Razik got beat that badly was by Doug Parent in the 1994 junior nationals semi-finals. Razik and Guildenhuys, who lost to Ryding in the other semi, played the 3/4 but I don't recall it ever being anywhere near as lopsided as either semi-final match.
Guildenhuys was a great player, and a nice guy to boot, but I really can't remember him beating Razik that badly. Can you tell me when that happened? |

| I think it was at the nationals and that's what he won by. But I think peter was a year older so some people say it doesn't count as much. I think it does. Its not really surprising considering all the training he did. That's where I learnt all about fitness training and got into it then. He would do insane amounts of ghosting and biking and all kinds of other fitness stuff. Had an awesome coach too. |
